Christmas at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm
Free Reindeer Feeding, Christmas Carols and much more!
Saturday 30th November – Saturday 21st December
For the second year running we’re going all out with our Green efforts to show that Christmas needn’t cost the Earth. The zoo will be decorated with elaborate recycled Christmas decorations made by our staff members. Take part in one of our educational festive trails on your journey around the zoo with a seasonal hot drink and get a selfie with our artistic animals!
As Christmas approaches we are thinking about our loved ones and it’s important to remember that 1.7 million older people (according to Age UK) in England haven’t met up with a friend in a month, so we thought we would give free entry to over 80’s on throughout the whole of December. Why not contact a friend and bring them to the Zoo this Christmas.

*Reindeer feeding: On Saturdays this Christmas at Noah’s Ark, visitors will be able to get hands-on and feed our Reindeer for free! Reindeer feeding will take place on Saturday 30th November and the 7th, 14th and 21st December. Feeding sessions will take place at 3pm by the Reindeer field on the selected dates and are subject to availabilty.* *Subject to weather and animal co-operation.
*Christmas Corner: For the first time ever visitors will be able to enjoy and explore our very own Christmas Corner. From environmentally friendly crafts to walking around and enjoying the spectacular Christmas scene made out of unwanted items, there will be something for everyone. Or if you would rather sit and relax, why not grab a special hot chocolate and wrap up warm in Christmas Corner, taking in all of the Christmas creativity around you. Please note the Christmas Corner Hut will be open between 2-4pm Monday – Friday and 10:30-4 on Saturdays.
*Story Time with Angels and Shepherds: On Mondays and Thursdays throughout December there will be the opportunity for children to participate in story time with angels and shepherds. All you need to do is come along to the Ark Arena for 12:30, you can even come in your nativity costumes if you like!
*Winter Wildlife Trail: Take part in our green Christmas recycled animal trail this winter for your chance to win a brand new Family Reindeer Adoption Pack.* Explore the zoo and discover our varied animal scenes that have been created using unwanted recycled items such as plastic bags and old materials.
*History and Mystery of Christmas Trail: Come and learn all about the Christmas story by being in the story yourself! Get involved with our interactive pictorial boards alongside the story and become a Shepherd or an Angel yourself.
*Christmas lights around the Zoo: Winter is a notoriously cold and dark time of year but don’t let this put you off a visit to the zoo. We will be illuminating the zoo with some magical lights. Don’t worry they’re eco-friendly too, these LED bulbs are energy efficient.
